All too often it’s the doctor who gets all the information about the patient, and the patient gets little information about the doctor. I would like to change that.
I am Dr. Carl Spinelli. I was born in Newark. Grew up in Nutley. I have three daughters Jocelyn, Allison and Rachel. A wonderful partner, Debra who loves and supports me.
I like to play tennis, golf and basketball. I enjoy gardening. I like good wine, conversation and food with friends and family. It’s Italian for me.
I majored in Biology at Fairleigh Dickson University, where I graduated with a bachelor of science degree in 1978. I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College in 1982, graduating with honors.
I received board certification from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. In spinal biomechanics from The Academy of Applied Spinal Biomechanical Engineering. In pain management from the American Academy of Pain Management.
I have taught chiropractic principles and practices at Atlantic Mutual Insurance Companies and Princeton Insurance Company.
For one season, I served as the team chiropractor for the MetroStars Soccer team, now the Red Bulls.
I chose to become a chiropractor because of its vitalistic philosophy that recognizes that the body is self-healing, self-regulating and self-communication. I should rephrase that, I didn’t choose chiropractic, it chose me. There is nothing I have experienced more fulfilling than helping others. I am grateful for that.
My promise to you is to help you heal on every level and I want you to share your life with me. I will continue to work with you as long as we both feel there is benefit to that. If at any time you or I feel you are not being helped, I will refer you to someone who may be more suited to your needs.
I know that the body can heal as long as the nervous system is obstruction free and you make the lifestyle changes.
